About PZU "SANICARD"

Private health institution “SANICARD”, 09.01. this year, it celebrated 23 years of work, which makes it one of the first private medical institutions in Montenegro.
It is registered as a PEDIATRIC AND INTERNIST PRACTICE WITH A FOCUS ON CARDIOLOGY FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS.

The goal was primarily, through active preventive work, to help in the detection of cardiovascular diseases, as one of the most common diseases today.

It is equipped with all devices for non-invasive cardiac diagnostics.
ECG machine with monitoring, state-of-the-art ultrasound machine with color doppler, ergometer, Holters for EKG and pressure analysis, devices for oximetry and spirometry, etc.
In addition to cardiological examinations for children and adults, an examination of athletes is also preferred, where an adequately performed cardiological status is a necessary assessment for engaging in sports activities.

In “SANICARD” among other things, systematic examinations for employees with the UN prefix in Montenegro are carried out / approved in Geneva, on the basis of the attached qualifications /.
One of the important activities of the institution is pediatrics with neonatology.
In addition to examining sick children, an excellent neonatologist monitors the development of the CNS and hips of the youngest population using an ultrasound machine.

The work has been extended to include gynecological examinations, and more intensive development of the Center for Prenatal Diagnostics, the pediatric cardiologist-gynecologist team is also planned.

In “SANICARD”, a neurologist works as a consultant. In addition to the classic examination, EMG-diagnosis is also carried out. The team includes a gastroenterologist and an endocrinologist. Consultations are also carried out by an orthopedist.

The institution also performs ultrasound examinations of the thyroid gland, abdomen, breast, as well as doppler blood vessels of the neck and legs.
The successful operation of the INSTITUTION, which has been operating for almost a quarter of a century, speaks for the justification of opening and independently creating a health service.

Svjetlana Zeković

Svjetlana Zeković was born in Osijek, Croatia. In the 1970s, after graduating from the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb, he came to Montenegro, then Titograd, and worked at the Medical Institute, at the level of the Health Center, in the School Dispensary.

From 1977-1980 specializes in pediatrics in Titograd and Belgrade. He is taking his final exam in pediatrics at the University Children’s Clinic in Belgrade. She enrolled in postgraduate studies, subspecialized in cardiology and passed the final exam in 1983, and she defended her final thesis entitled “Early and late evolution and prognosis of rheumatic fever in the territory of the municipality of Titograd” in Belgrade in 1985.

In 1983, within the Children’s Clinic in Podgorica, then Titograd, he established the Department of Pediatric Cardiology and managed its work. In 1986, he trained in several ultrasound laboratories in Belgrade and Zagreb and introduced echocardiographic diagnostics in children in Montenegro. In 1989, he attended a seminar in echocardiography in Rome and was educated in several laboratories, and a year later he completed a seminar in that field at the “Yugoslavska school of ultrasound in Kragujevac”. In 1990, he received the title of primarius. At the Medical Institute, he works on two projects: “Study of congenital heart defects in Montenegro” and “Postoperative monitoring of children operated on for congenital heart defects in the territory of Montenegro”.

In 1995, he enrolled in master’s studies in Belgrade, which ended with the defense of his thesis entitled “Investigation of congenital heart defects in Montenegro” in March 2000. In the same year, he began his doctoral studies at the University of Belgrade. Two years later, she defended her doctoral dissertation entitled “Evaluation of pulmonary regurgitation in children operated on for tetralogy of Fallot”. She expressed her professional and scientific-research work through a large number of works published in professional journals, as well as participation in numerous domestic and international meetings. Following the contemporary trends of the Reform of society, in 1994 he founded a PRIVATE HEALTHCARE INSTITUTION FOR PEDIATRICS AND INTERNAL MEDICINE WITH CARDIOLOGY.

She served as the president of the Association of Private Medical Doctors/UPDOM/Montenegro, and now she is the president of the Assembly of UPDOM.
She is also active in the field of activities of the Croatian national minority in Montenegro, now as the president of the NGO Community of Croats and Friends – Montenegro.
